Pine Woods Animal Hospital proudly serves the pets and families of Duxbury, Pembroke, Marshfield, Kingston, and the greater South Shore community. Here, we recognize that every pet who walks through our doors is family — not just another patient — and we treat them all with the attentive, thoughtful care they deserve.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide our patients with excellent veterinary medical, surgical, and preventative care.
We are committed to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and the well-being of our employees. We aim to build lasting relationships with our clients through friendly, supportive, and informative services delivered with honesty and integrity.
Our Story
After years of practicing in hospitals throughout the South Shore, Jennifer Johnson, DVM, opened Pine Woods Animal Hospital to create a space where pets and their owners feel truly seen, heard, and cared for.
Dr. Johnson’s veterinary journey began with a passion for science and animal health that led her from Quincy to Bates College, and ultimately to Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. Over her career, she has gained extensive experience in preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery, and small animal care, all while keeping the comfort and well-being of both pets and their owners at the heart of her work.
In founding Pine Woods Animal Hospital, Dr. Johnson found a way to bring that family-first philosophy to Duxbury while also prioritizing sustainability and a supportive, employee-centered clinic culture. At every appointment, our team is committed to upholding our foremost mission of building lasting relationships rooted in trust, respect, and a shared love for animals.
